Oncolib FAQs

Oncolib is an oral targeted therapy, used to treat adults with HR-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer. It is prescribed to be taken in combination with other hormone therapies, such as an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant.

Take Oncolib exactly as prescribed by your doctor which is a 4-week cycle, where Oncolib is taken once daily for three weeks (21 days) and one week off. It is also important to take note of the following:

  • Oncolib tablets may be taken with or without food.
  • Avoid grapefruit, grapefruit juice, and grapefruit products while on Oncolib therapy. This may increase the amount of Oncolib in your blood.
  • Swallow your Oncolib dose whole and intact. Do not chew, crush or split before swallowing.
  • Try to take Oncolib at approximately the same time each day.
  • Do not change your dose or stop taking Oncolib unless your doctor tells you. Know that if you miss a day’s dose or vomit after taking a dose of Oncolib, do not take an extra dose. Just take your next dose at your regular time.
